Special Panhead Tools

Compensating sprocket tool. I drilled 4 holes "exact fit" for the 4 pins. A socket was welded on for optional torqueing.

Used as a flogging spanner ideally with a dead blow hammer.

Locking tool between primary sprockets. It's made of scrap aluminum angle at exact length. Used for loosening and tightening the compensating nut.

Head bolt tool. Fits a 3/8" drive torque wrench. Made from a piece of old ring spanner welded to a square drive section of an old socket. Low hydrogen arc welding rod was used.

Dizzy-timer tool. This gets that one awkward bolt.

Wheel lug nut tool. Fashioned from old Allen-head cap screws.

I made this to get the condenser screw in situ. It's turned down at the top to clear head fins and necked at the tip to clear the body of the condenser.

Intake manifold air pressure tester. Lathe turned flat and drilled with the Linkert bolt pattern.

Pipe benders and flaring tools with adapters.

Valve spring compressor

Seat hinge pivot bush extractor/installer.
Worked well. The bigger spacer is for pushing an existing bush out.
Half inch bolt with extra thread, UNF.

Timer swaging tool

Used to shrink hole in timer points base.
(See article in Timer page)

Valve stem installation tool. This helps pull the rubber valve stem into the rim hole. Works well. Made from old metal valve cap and a piece of throttle cable inner.
